A very Picasso fall

I can no longer count the number of times I tried visiting the Musée Picasso, only to find myself face to face with a locked door and the following words: “Museum closed for renovation”

Just like me, countless tourists, locals, and fans of the celebrated Spanish painter had to summon their patience before setting foot in the magnificent Hôtel Salé again, which houses one of the most extraordinary collections of the master of cubism’s work. After five seemingly endless years of renovations, expectations, and disappointments of all kinds, I had lost all hope.

But now that I’m preparing my next Parisian escapade, I find out that the museum will finally be reopening its doors on October 25, just in time to commemorate the artist’s 133th  birthday. I couldn’t have picked better timing. With its hundreds of paintings, sculptures, and ceramics, and its thousands of drawings and engravings, I bet it’ll have been worth the wait. I’ll let you know what I think when I return.
